Foreign Employment is one of the increasingly popular sources of income for families in rural areas in Nepal. Thousands of Nepalese go abroad every day in pursuit of foreign employment which plays a vital role as remittance in the overall economy of Nepal.
There is a high growth rates in foreign employment as compared to other developing countries. Even though the foreign employment increases the economic status of the nation, it creates various problems to the employer as well as to the society. One of the main concerns is that the remittance is being used as consumption expenditure and not as productive investment. We hereby aim to decrease the outflow of Nepalese manpower from rural area.
To decrease the foreign employment and brain drain we will be organizing various programs for a whole week effectively. We will be organizing door-to-door awareness campaign in the rural villages of Sindhupalchowk District.
Almost 41 percent of the workers goes to Malaysia whereas Saudi Arabia is second with 22.9 percent of the migrant workers destination. These countries require unskilled labor which doesn’t help to improve the knowledge base of the migrant workers. Thus, there is no skill development that can be used after returning to the home country.
